He served in the Dominion Wireless Service as a W/T Operator.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Second Class Wireless Telegraph Operator (RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/03/1916). In 1916-1918 he served in HMCS Rainbow for Wireless Telegraph Duty (West Coast) at Digby Island Radio Station. (He was demobilized.)
