Biography
After his naval service he was appointed as Vice-President of Saint John Shipbuilding and President of Saint John Systems, Halifax NS.

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCN 1951. He served in HMCS Magnificent for training 1951. He served in HMCS Wallaceburg as Able-Seaman Torpedo Anti-Submarine (TAS) Operator 1952. He served in HMCS Prestonian as Able-Seaman TAS Operator 1953. (CFR). He was appointed as an Officer Cadet RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1954). He served in Royal Roads (RCNC) 1954. He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1956). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1957).
