Anecdotes
This vessel was built for the Royal Navy but transferred to the RCN for manning. this vessel was commissioned 02/04/1942 at Vancouver BC. this vessel was originally based at Esquimalt, and later transferred to Prince Rupert BC. In March 1943 this vessel was transferred back to Esquimalt BC. On March 17 this vesseldeparted for Halifax NS (WLEF) arriving May 2, 1943. In July 1943 this vessel was transferred to the Halifax Force and in December to the Newfoundland Force. On February 19, 1944 this vessel was transferred to the Plymouth assigned to the 31st Minesweeping Flotillaand was present at D-Day.
