In 1942 she was seized from Japanese owners for service with the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1942 her ownership was transferred to His Majesty the King for the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve. In 1945-1949 she was owned by Louie D. Summers, Vancouver BC. She was renamed as B.C. Girl. In 1949-1959 she was owned by Donald Baker (MO), Vancouver BC and Stanley H. Coughland, Vancouver BC. In 1959-1971 she was owned by George Berg (MO), Nanaimo BC. In 1971-1977 she was owned by Anthony Drpic (MO), Vancouver, BC. In 1977-1989 she was owned by Frank E. Alfred, Alert Bay BC.

Anecdotes
In 1941 this vessel was seized from her Japanese owners by the Canadian Government. In 1942 her ownership transferred to His Majesty the King. At the time this vessel was seized her appraised value was $7,500. In 1942 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve.
