Anecdotes

Yellow cedar hull on oak frames, cedar strip plank decks (originally canvas over plywood). Red cedat cabinet work in interior cabin. Exterior brightwork is mahogany. The vessel was built in a "turtle-deck" style. this vessel was the winner of the Labour Day Regatta at Maple Bay Yacht Club, winner of Lipton Cup at Maple Bay 1956. Jeff Hartbower and Jo Swallow bought the vessel while this vessel was laid up at Mosquito Creek. After re-caulking the vessel this vessel was moved to moorage at the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Only original or traditional fittings were saved from the interior "mess" which remained from earlier efforts to rebuild the vessel.
