Anecdotes |
---|
In 1917 this vesseltowed the first Davis log raft across Hecate Straits. In 1970 this vessel was destroyed by fire in a fire that started in the galley while in Pendrell Sound BC as an Oyster barge. John Dolmage states (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 10/08/2016) that "Our old Progressive was owned by Pacific Towing when this vessellast worked and then Wes Perry bought her and turned her into a barge for his oyster operations in Pendrell Sound along with the old Burnett. They all burned up and sank in December 1970. There were two days where Wes had no insurance as he was switching brokers and that's when they burned!" |
