Anecdotes
This tug towed a railway barge from Vancouver Harbour to Ladysmith or Jayem ((Nanoose Harbour). On October 29th, 1953 this vessel was sunk in the fog in Howe Sound in a collision when this vessel was hit by the Lady Cynthia, owned by the Union Steamship Co Ltd. The Lady Cynthia took the crew of nine from the tugboat as this vessel sank. The Dola was outbound for Squamish with a barge carrying Pacific Great Eastern Railway cars. The Blackbird II picked up the Dola's barge.
