Anecdotes
On February 6, 1943 this vessel was torpedoed by German aircraft in 36.15N 00.15E on voyage Newport - Algiers. Towed to Oran and temporarily repaired at Gibraltar. On September 13, 1943 this vessel was bombed and sunk off Cape Finnisterre France by German aircraft in 41.31N 14.39W while in tow between Gibraltar - Milford Haven.
