Bruno Coupe (Email to Nauticapedia 10/08/2021) states "I am the owner of Freelance II since August 29 1996. In September 2003, I sailed away , single handing,from Vancouver for a 3 year voyage. First,in the United States, (Eureka, San Francisco, San Diego, then Mexico, Guadelupe island,Cabo San Lucas, La Paz,and all the western coast of Mexico. After that I sailed to El Salvador, then,Costa Rica from where, after a 44 day crossing we arrived to the Marquesas islands, a few month later, the Tuamotu islands and Tahiti, Huahine, Raiatea, Bora Bora. After several months in French Polynesia, we headed up to the Cook Islands, then the Tongas. Ffrom the Tongas,we went down to New Zealand. A few months later, up to Vanuatu, visiting all the islands before heading to New Caledonia where I live on Freelance since 2006." |
