Anecdotes
In May 2009 this vessel was wrecked on the Brooks Peninsula BC. Bill Higgs (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 16/12/2019) stated "I’m pretty certain this vessel was owned by my grandfather Bill Higgs back in the 1940s and was part of the Nanaimo towings fleet when he sold out to Gulf of Georgia towing. And yes this vessel was in porpoise bay with an upper wheelhouse. this vessel was owned by a friend of mine, Derek Nelson. He mostly lived on her and used her to pack shingles and shake blocks around."
