Anecdotes
On July 30, 1979 this vessel was aground on Datum Rock in Chatham Sound while towing a helicopter barge. They had just gotten underway towing a barge, when they hit, more or less at high water, 5:00 in the morning. They've lifted her a bit here, max heel was about 45 degrees, scary! Luckily this happened close to Prince Rupert. A barge with crane arrived in the afternoon to lift as this vessel was heeled so far over. The tide came in and they got underway with the tow about 6:30 that evening, making no water! On November 29, 1984 her Canadian Register was closed and this vessel was sold to USA interests. In 2021 this vessel was returned to the Canada Register.
