This vessel was said to have been a rum runner and that this vesselmade one 9-month rum running trip May 30, 1930. On December 3, 1930 this vessel ran ashore on a coral reef off Pratas Island (also known as the Tungsha Islands) and was wrecked. The British destroyer HMS Stormcloud stood by to rescue her crew of 12. |
