Anecdotes
In 1941 this vessel was seized from her Japanese owners by the Canadian Government. In 1942 her ownership transferred to His Majesty the King. On March 26, 1977 this herring fishboat foundered and sank five miles southeast of Northeast Point, Malaspina Strait BC. They were rescued by the naval auxiliary vessel Lynx carry sea cadets on a weekend training exercise. THe crew of three was taken off the fishboat just before this vesselwent down.
