Anecdotes
John Dolmage (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 16/07/2018) stated that "this vessel was built with discarded fir planking from the Fortune class minesweepers. The navy required all 50' planking or better so Larson's picked up what they could and so the hull was almost all full length planking. This vessel started out with a 250 hp.Buda which was replaced in ' 57 with a 280 Walkishaw (sp) which was replaced in 1963 (I think) 343 Cat 300 hp. which I replaced with the "newer" style 343 in 1989. This vessel had a Capital gear which I replaced in about 1986 with a 514 Twin Disc. this vessel was a remarkable little boat in tide and great sea boat. I covered a lot of the coast on her, from Seattle to Stewart, the westcoast of the Island and over to the Charlottes. After I sold her I still ran her for another 10 1/2 years for Pan fish - 31 years total."
