Anecdotes
On October 29, 1953 this vesselran aground at Denman Island BC. This vessel managed to refloat herself. David Bill (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 25/01/2017) states that "Alf Ritchie dragged with it in Rupert for many years as the Miss Terri He owned the Miss Barbie at the same time. Both boats would get salmon packing charters. Later Miss Terri was switched to herring and salmon seiner with partner Frank Long as skipper." Mike Rydqvist McCammon (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 11/10/2018) reported that "In 2018 this vessel was seizzed by the Canadian Coast Guard and transported to Ladysmith BC for scrapping. Subsequently the scrapping plans are reported on hold as a result of negotiations by the owner." (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 11/10/2018) reported that "this vessel was the Cape Perry (Capt. Vince King) that rescued 10 surviving US Air Force service men that had abandoned their intercontinental B-36 bomber after they had dropped their Mk. IV nuke near Ashdown Island south of Prince Rupert on 15 February 1950."
