Anecdotes
Robert Critchley states that "I don't know what the name of it was, hopefully when I burn the paint off I will find something. It is for sure one that was built by Jack (Judo) Tasaka up at Nelson Brother fisheries shipyard in Port Edward after he came back to the coast. he resumed boat building in 1950, this boat is on of those early 1950s ones, i would class this as a transition boat, as it has many pre war Japanese build styles, with the start of the post war design, flared bow , at 31.6 by 8.6 a little bit more beam, the use of plywood."
