In 1989 all the exterior and interior paint and brightwork stripped and refinished and minor restoration work. Hull- Red cedar (Double-ended). Frames- Oak . Decks- Mahogany. Cabin- Teak . Cabin Configuration: A small galley with a woodburning stove, beginning at the third porthole back from the bow. There is also a head with a nickle plated pullman sink and a bunk on each side of her cozy salon. Special Notes: Most wood is original. Only major work was deck replacement in the early 1970s. The original engine (over 5' high) was placed in the bow.). This vessel has won many honors including: 2015 Best Classic Construction - Vancouver Wooden Boat Show; 2015 Oldest Boat - Vancouver Wooden Boat Show; 2011 Best Overall Power Boat - Victoria Classic Boat Festival; 1994 Best Classic Construction - Vancouver Wooden Boat Show; 1990 Best Power Boat - Vancouver Wooden Boat Show; 1978 Oldest Power Boat - Victoria Classic Boat Festival. Terry Friesen (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 23/06/2018) stated " I believe, in conversation with Doug Day, that the Day family bought it just prior to it's planned shipment to the US in 2017, and are keeping it in BC." Simon Fawkes (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 28/11/2021) stated "I bought her from Doug Day earlier this year, hauled her at Trites in the spring and re-caulked, re-fastened and replaced some hull planks now moored at Heritage Harbour, Vancouver Maritime Museum."
