In 1942 she was owned by the US Navy as a submarine chaser. After the war SC-715 was transferred to the US Coast Guard. In 1958-1985 she was owned by The Canadian Fishing Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC. In 1986-2001 she was owned by Jim Pattison Industries Ltd., Vancouver BC. In 2003-2004 she was owned by the Maritime Heritage Society of Vancouver, Vancouver BC. In 2011-2016 she was owned by Ronan Oger, Garden Bay BC. |

This vessel was commissioned on December 4, 1942 and decommissioned at Seattle WA January 9, 1946. On October 29, 1953, while towing the fishboat Cape Sruce this vesselran aground at Otter Bay and her tow followed her onto the rocks. In October 2017 this vessel was still afloat but this vessel is no longer registered in Canada. In 2018 this vessel was reported to have disappeared. In 2019 this vessel was listed for sale on Craigs List in New Westminster for $50,000. The advert stated "For sale is the Cape Pine. Over the last year and a half I have put approximately $50000 into her to make it a home. This vessel runs and doesn't make much water! I love this ship but am having financial troubles." |
