Anecdotes |

Steve Hansen (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook GRoup 03/05/2020) stated "Found this gem today at the dock in Campbell River. My dad, Harold Hansen had it built in 1963 at the Wick Brothers Boatyard in Vancouver. He owned it till 1974, using it year round, gill netting in the summer and log salvage the rest of the year. My grandfather, Olaf Hansen from Port Neville bought it from Dad and continued fishing and log salvage work with it. It was also his only mode of transportation in and out of Port Neville where he lived his entire life. I spent lots of time on this boat over the years, helping my grandfather with log salvage, fishing, and eventually fishing the boat myself in the ‘80’s and early ‘90’s. We sold it around 2000 - 2001 so it was a pleasant surprise to find it again." |
