Anecdotes

This vessel is no longer registered in Canada. Mike Shannon (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 07/02/2021) stated "My great grandfater had it built and then my Grandpa had it lengthened at Benson's in Coal Harbour. My property on Bowen Island has the name plate mounted over our kitchen window. My father has the coins from under tha mast and the original gumwood wooden spoke wheel in his living room. No one ever took ownership of who found the missing wheel and placed it on his doorstep one Christmas Day years ago but that person needs to realize how much that meant to our family. The boat was crushed after a fire and a hard few years in a leasing fleet at Shelter Island. It was too far gone. That is where we were able to score a few nostalgic artifacts. The original ships wheel was long gone at that time as it had been previously changed to hydraulic steering. It was a miracle it turned up."
