In 1957, under command of Commander C.V. Crewing USCG, this vesseltravelled as part of a US Coast Guard Squadron, West to East in a Transit of the Northwest Passage (the first US Vessels to Transit). In 1997 this vessel was laid up. this vessel was scuttled as a diving wreck.
