Anecdotes
Simon Hill (Email to Nauticapedia 12/02/2019) stated that "Owner Al (“Snuffy”) Ladret had been using it for some time as a towboat for dock work. He rebuilt it in 2017, and 2018 was its first season fishing in quite some time (I’m not sure if it ever fished prior being used as a workboat — I know Ladret hadn’t fished in 21 years prior to last season). “I miss the power, but I don’t miss the fuel bills,” says Ladret." " Vern Sampson (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 10/06/2019) stated that " "Wile Thang, ya make my heart sing," was playing on the radio the day Snuffy and crew were about to launch and were still pondering a name. (disclaimer: not sure if that is just an upcoast legend or the real story.)"
