Coville et al., Vancouver BC. In 1950-1952 she was owned by Federick B. Brown and Stanley S. Mckeen principals of Straits Towing Co. and their wives in equal shares all of Vancouver BC. During the Second World War this vesselserved as a passenger cargo vessel in the South Pacific. On April 19, 1970 this vessel sank 10 miles off Cape Breton Island NS Canada with a loss of all eight hands. Chaleur Bay Fisheries was a company created by Robert Karliner and his wife and sponsored by Anglo British Columbia Packing Co. Ltd to take the vessel to the East Coast herring fishery. |
