In 1924 this vessel was operating as a rumrunner by Captain Gillis. In September 1924 this vessel was found abandoned with bloodstains on board by the keeper of Turn Point Light on Prevost Island. Captain Gillis and his 17 year old son had been murdered by hijackers and their bodies thrown overboard. Two men were hanged for the murders. |
