Anecdotes
This vessel formed part of the pre-war Fishermen’s Reserve Fleet. This vessel participated in the 30 January – 25 February 1939 Fishermen’s Reserve Training Session. this vessel was mobilized 15 Sep 1939. In 1939 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve as HMCS Mitchell Bay. In 1939 this vessel was appraised at $12,000 and chartered for $240 per month. In 1942 this vessel was tender to H.M.C.S. Givenchy. In 1943-1944 this vessel was tender to H.M.C.S. Givenchy II. In 1964 this vesselran aground and had her stem replaced at Burrard Shipyard & Marine Ways Ltd. In January 2018 this vessel was towed to Shelter Bay Marina to be broken up.
