On October 4, 1953 this troller fishboat, owned by Antti Jouppila (MO), Ladysmith BC, collided with the tug Western Challenger and sank at Tofino BC. This vessel rammed the tug about 10 feet from her stern, filled with water and sank within a few minutes. The tug was undamaged but lost part of her pumping gear and lines in the salvage attempt. |
