In 1931 the Jolly Jumbo was 34' x 10' x 5.2' 17gt 15rt 1hp engine and owned by James W. Whitehead and Mrs, James N. Whitehead (JO), Vancouver BC. The Jolly Jumbo was a yacht outfitted as a traveling general store cruised the area around Beaver Cove on northern Vancouver Island in the summers in the late 1920s. On May 16, 1940 this vessel suffered a fire in Kenneth Passage at the mouth of Mackenzie Sound BC.
