In 1938 this vessel was based at Esquimalt BC. In 1940 this vessel was transferred, with H.M.C.S. Comox, to Halifax NS via the Panama Canal. This vessel spent the war minesweeping with the Halifax Local Defence Force. In 1943 this vessel was renamed as H.M.C.S. Nanoose to allow her name to be allocated to a Tribal-class destroyer. This vessel was paid off in 1945. |
