Anecdotes |
---|
On February 17, 1960 this tug burned and sank at Pt. Atkinson BC. Captain Eric North and two crewmen fought an engine room blaze that eventually forced them into a lifeboat. They were towing three empty barges to Britannia when the fire started. The nearby tug La Mitte quickly arrived to pour water on the blaze but picked up the crewmen from the lifeboat. This vessel then took the burning tug in tow until the Vancouver firetug J.H. Carlisle arrived to extinguish the blaze. |
