In 1929 this vessel was ordered to service the Taylor & Drury stores on the Yukon River. This vessel sailed to Skagway and there loaded on to a flat car. This vessel was carried over the White Pass by the White Pass & Yukon Railway to the Yukon River. This vessel could also handle river barges. This vessel had a 37 inch tunnel to accommodate the propeller. This vessel was sister vessel to the HBC Co. vessel Liard River. This vessel was afloat in 2009. (this vessel was still registered to The British Yukon Navigation Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC in 1961.) This vessel was dry berthed and on display in 2016. |
