Hull- Red Cedar (Displacement hull, carvel planked). Frames- Oak . Decks- Cedar and fir, Canvas over plank . Cabin- Cedar . Cabin Configuration: Wheelhouse, midships galley, main salon, open cockpit. The name comes from the poem Hiawatha by Longfellow - "Onaway awake my beloved." (In 1990 this vessel was designated as a British Columbia Vintage Vessel by the Maritime Museum of British Columbia.)
