Ross Holkestad stated that "Kumetaro Tsumura had a boat building place in Cow Bay Prince Rupert called Kiy Boat Works (where I am from), from 1925 to 1942. My grandfather Marelius Holkestad had a boat built there for him May 1928 called the Helge H the name of his first born son. It was 34 ft. It sank on February 3, 1933 off of Bonilla Island and my grandfather rowed with 3 of his crew in the Dory for 3 days untill they got to Kitkatla to be rescued." |
