In 1898 she was owned by the Casca Trading & Transportation Co. Ltd. She worked the Stikine River in 1898-1899. In 1899-1901 she was owned by Otto R. Bremner. In 1901 she was owned by Bremner & Adair Bros., Dawson YT for Yukon River service in 1901. In 1903 she was owned by Ironside, Rennie & Campbell Co. In 1904-1931 she was owned by The British Yukon Navigation Co., Vancouver BC Canada.

Named Features
Significance of Name The name is supposed to be from Kaska (a band of Athbascan first nations).
 
Anecdotes
On July 9, 1936 this vessel was wrecked when this vessel hit a rock at Rink Rapids on the Yukon River and beached at Dawson City YT. Her engine was used in the second Casca. In 1974 this vessel was destroyed by fire.
