Anecdotes

In 1988 this vessel was for sale for $265,000. Terry Slack reports (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 06/12/2014) that "The Burnaco tied up under the North End of Knight Street Bridge on the North Arm of the Fraser River and transported Boom Chains etc. back to upcoast logging camps ! I loved her musical whistle playing "Camp town Races " as this vesselheaded home to her dock in the North Arm !" Don Hall (Email to Nauticapedia 09/02/2021) stated "The Burnaco was being used as a bed & breakfast at Hot Springs Cove, Vancouver Island, where it burned and sank." This story is inaccurate and the new owner Josh Rock states "I (Josh Rock) purchased the vessel in 2021 from "earth sea inns" for $245,000 . She is still operating as a floating bed and breakfast , but in Ucluelet now, not Hot Springs Cove anymore. I'm not sure where the burnt down info came from, but it's incorrect. She is alive and well."
