In 1942 she was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve as HMCS Chamiss Bay - a Canadian Naval Patrol Vessel in the Fishermen's Reserve as a bathythermograph vessel. In 1946 she was owned by Cleto Feraro, Vancouver BC Canada. In 1949-1979 she was owned by Richard Carpenter, Bella Bella BC Canada. In 1980-1981 she was owned by British Columbia Packers Ltd., Richmond BC and Christie Packing Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC Canada. |

At the start of the Second World War this vessel was seized from Japanese owners for service with the Royal Canadian Navy.In 1942 this vessel was appraised at $10,800. In 1942 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve and functioned as a bathythermograph vessel. In 1944 this vessel was used as a D.E.M.S. vessel at Esquimalt BC. In 1943-1944 this vessel was a tender to HMCS Chatham. This vessel sank on March 09, 1981 and was declared a constructive total loss. |
