Anecdotes |
---|
This vessel was launched August 3, 1896. In winter 1896 this vessel was at Steamboat Landing but the lay-up was occupied by the Victoria. The Victoria was purchased and demolished to make room for the Charlotte. This vessel hit a rock in Fort George Canyon on 15/07/1910 and sank in Fort George Canyon. This vessel was brought back to Quesnel and abandoned there. The boiler was salvaged and used in a sawmill at Quesnel and later abandoned. The boiler was put back into operation in the 1930s in the Cariboo Gold Quartz Mine at Wells, operating until the 1940s. |
