Anecdotes |

Kyle Knapton (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 23/12/2017) states that "This vessel has been sold to a company called Coast Island Marine. That company is registered to recently sold residence in Campbell River. This company also owns the Ocean Clipper and some other equipment. This is speculation, but it looks to me like they are changing the name to the "Coast Ranger." You can see where the "II" was stripped of and the "Coast" has been recently worked on." Lonnie Berrow (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 20/04/2019) states that "This vessel became Pacific Ranger of Pacific Towing and later was laid up for several years. Coast Island Marine bought her in non running, out of class condition and have been slowly refitting her. Probably has never run since 2008." |
