Owner(s)
In 1945 she was owned by the Royal Canadian Navy. She was sold as Navy Surplus to Hoffer Marine then purchased by Maple Grove Lumber of Gossip Island, She worked as a tugboat, camp tender and utility boat for many years. When working as a tender for Knapp Island in the late 1980s.In 1990-1995 she was owned by David J. Christian, Saanichton BC Canada. In 1995 the Heath family purchased the boat. They are the current owners living in Pitt Meadows while the Working Girl is moored at Mosquito Creek Marina in North Vancouver.

Double planked mahogany, copper riveted open boat In 1991 this vessel was designated as a Vintage vessel by the Maritime Museum of British Columbia. The Working Girl has appeared in two movies, X Files and Da Vinci’s Inquest This vessel participates in Workboat Gatherings.
