Anecdotes |
---|
John M. Simpson was the Reform Party Member of Parliament for Delta whom, in 1995, used his boat to challenge Department of Fisheries officers. He was protesting a two-day opening for aboriginal fishers. He claimed that the aboriginal fishers were also licenced as commercial fishers and posed an unfair competition. While Cummins had dropped his net, no fish were taken and he was charged under the Fisheries Act. |
