In 1946 she was built for the Royal Navy as a Naval landing craft maintenance ship . She was sold before commissioning In 1947 she was a cargo passenger vessel owned by Caprpenter's Trading Co. and operated by Pacific Shipowners. Later she was owned by Pacific Shipowners.

Anecdotes
This vessel was a small freighter that ran between Fiji and the west coast of North America in the 1960's. This vessel carried lumber from Canada to Fiji. This vessel was refitted with accomodation for 98 passengers and placed on a run Vancouver, Honolulu, Fiji and Sydney. 1967 5th October this vesselran aground on a reef off Vatulele - Fiji and sank in deep water four days later.
