Anecdotes |

Lonnie Edward Berrow states (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 12/07/2016) that "I remember salvaging the Eastland when this vessel rolled over off Cape Mudge BC. This vessel was heading north with a couple of herring skiffs one on deck like in the picture and one towing astern. A big sea lifted up the skiff on deck and drove it through the hatch, the next sea filled her hold and this vesselrolled over. We went out on a tug searching and found her overturned hull in rough seas then managed to get a line on her and tow her to a sheltered spot north of the lighthouse." |
