In 1937 on the death of Henry Bell Irving, ownership was passed to Richard Bell-Irving, Vancouver BC Canada. In 1940 she was leased by the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1945 she was returned to her owner, Richard Bell-Irving, Vancouver BC Canada. In 1946-1947 she was owned by Arthur R. Layard, Ganges BC Canada. In 1961-1977 she was owned by Derek Gladman, Crofton, BC Canada.

Significance of Name	The Initials "H.C." stood for Harbour Craft.

 

Anecdotes
In 1940 this vessel was leased by the Royal Canadian Navy as a Canadian Naval Harbour Service Auxiliary, in service 1941-1942 as a Canadian Naval Boom Attendant Vessel. The RCN employed her as a tender to HMCS Naden (III). This vessel was crewed by a Fishermen's Reserve crew.
