Anecdotes
In 1941 this vessel was seized from her Japanese owners by the Canadian Government. In 1942 her ownership transferred to His Majesty the King. Simon Bancroft (Email to Nauticapedia April 11, 2021) stated "The owner inherited the boat from his dad who bought her mid 80’s just after the conversion was completed. He told me this vessel was built by Nakade and I see that information has been recently added to the Nauticapedia entry. He said this vessel was originally named Corona and that his dad, who was born in Amsterdam in 1938, renamed her, the name being a contraction of the name of the city. I looked for Corona in the builders archive and noted with interest how similar this vessel is to Koki M."
