Early on October 18, 2014, the Atlantic Harvester 1 capsized and sank just north of Campbell River, BC. One crew member, Kyle Benoit, was rescued by a zodiac launched from a passing Alaska State Ferry vessel; despite extensive search, two others are missing/presumed dead: Captain Barry Sewid and Mike Kelly. |
