Dell and Vi McConnell, Port Alberni BC Canada state "On August 15, 1980 we purchased and took ownership of a 32 ‘ pleasure boat, a 1977 Farrell Boat built by Barrie Farrell, from the original owner, George Littlemore of Ladysmith. B.C. who ordered/purchased it as a 37’ cabin built on a 32’ hull. The vessel was originally named 'Lady Anne' by Mr. G. Littlemore and we kept her name to this day. This will be our 43rd year of ownership. Her registration number 6K8427 and this vesselhas been in Port Alberni B.C. since 15 August 1980. Enclosing a recent photo of M.V. Lady Anne for your records. We were told by the first owner from whom we purchased it, Mr. Littlemore, that the Lady Anne was the first boat that Barrie Farrell built, at the request of Mr. Littlemore, as a pleasure boat, using a 37' cabin on the 32 ‘ hull. It was launched 21 April 1977. We can’t be certain exactly who built it other than Mr. Littlemore stated that he talked to Barry in person and discussed this alteration as Mr. Littlemore liked the hull but wanted it adapted to a pleasure boat for his personal use rather than the customary fishboat." |
