Anecdotes
On January 23, 1943 this tug, owned by Beckman Towboat Co. Ltd., Marpole BC, struck a hemlock snag in the Fraser River that punched a large hole in the hull. Captain Buster Monk managed to get her aground before this vessel sank. The salvage vessel Helite No. 1 put on a temporary patch and refloated. In 1977 this vessel was reported to have been beached and broken up at Gambier Island BC.
