On April 22, 1993 this vessel foundered off Lennard Island (near Tofino) BC. Lonnie Edward Berrow (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 28/09/2016) reports that "The Kitmano was taken out on charter and sank running light to Nootka Sound, this vesselstarted taking water on fast for unknown reasons and the crew ended up in the raft." |
