Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 27/03/2022) reports that "For a few years, I've been slightly puzzled as to the origins of the fiberglass yacht SUPER CHIEF, which had been moored at the basin with a for sale sign in the window. Now the signs are gone and she's been moved over to the slips normally used by official vessels, which suggests to me that her days are numbered. Though this vesselhas a bit of a "military" appearance, I believe she's a commercial product, given a small sideways anchor-logo and numeral "40" on the deckhouse. Everything but the "OR" of her state license number has been stripped off the hull by this point, but I previously recorded it as OR989YZ, which is a license number about 20-25 years old." |
