In 1946-1968 she was employed by the RCMP. In 1969 she was declared surplus to requirements and in 1970 she was sold to Coppermine Eskimo Co-Operative Ltd., Coppermine NWT. In 1982 she was owned by Clare Kines, Arctic Bay, Nunavut. In 1990 she was owned by Larry Whitaker, Coppermine NT Canada. In 2004-2017 she was owned by Clare Kines, Arctic Bay NU.

Anecdotes
This vessel was still (in 1987) afloat in Coppermine as the privately-owned vessel Ft. Hearne. Originally this vessel was a true schooner-rigged vessel. This vessel was originally an RCMP supply vessel. Serving the RCMP detachments in the Western and Central Arctic from her base in Inuvik this vesselcarried personnel and supplies. This vessel was sold in 1969 when they got rid of all of their vessels in the Mackenzie waterway. From then on they relied exclusively on air transportation single engine Otter in Inuvik, later with a twin Otter.
