In 1934 when the Fort James was delayed in her voyage from the east coast via the Panama Canal, Margaret A.was purchased for $12,500.00 at Fort Smith. This vessel was crewed and skippered by men from Vancouver BC and was involved in the Lake Athabsca fishery. This vessel was trapped in the ice in the winter of 1934 at Letty Harbour and was forced to overwinter. Some of her crew of 12 were airlifted out to Cameron Bay. |
